You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:

- Primary support for Global Transportation Manager responsible for inbound and outbound shipments for
multiple Operations and Research facilities in the USA.
- Provide assistance with freight quotation process for export orders, including estimates of packaging
configurations, freight forwarder quotes, export bookings and coordination with inland trucking or drayage.
- Create and maintain grower import shipment files, coordinate with import brokers for clearance and provide
updates through point of delivery.
- Organize crop Phytosanitary certificate scanning and filing, critical for re-export.
- Obtains domestic less than truckload and full truckload quotes and coordinates shipping arrangements.
- Provide timely updates to various departments on import, export or other logistics activities.
- Maintenance of logistic activity reports for analysis and metrics.
- Audit third party payor (AFS) invoices and reports, carrier freight bills and invoices, verify accounting codes
for payment approvals.
- Perform tracking number lookups to verify delivery receipt, process off system shipping forms.
- Maintain files for Duty Drawbacks in the access database and able to pull the reporting and files needed to
substantiate the filing with the auditors.

Job requirements

To be considered, you will need: 

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or minimum 3 years equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in
Logistics, Procurement or Accounting highly desirable,
• Good working knowledge of US and International geography
• Knowledge of principals and methods for transportation of goods
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Outlook and ERP systems
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems desirable
• Strong analytical skills in reporting
• High attention to detail and level of accuracy is essential
• Good organization skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively
• Agricultural background of benefit
• Spanish/French language skill is helpful
